Descripton: Provenance: the first owner of the work was the famous artist, Hollywood screenwriter and director, art collector Jean Negulesco. After his death in 1993, his heirs began to sell off his impressive collection. In 2009, the painting took part in Sotheby’s auction in New York. The new owner of the painting was one of the oldest art galleries in London, Leicester Galleries (founded in 1902), which three years later put it up for auction at Sotheby’s in London.
