Адливанкин С.Я.

Adlivankin Samuil Yakovlevich (1897, Tatarsk, Mogilev province - 1966, Moscow).

Painter, graphic artist, monumentalist, film artist. In 1912-1918. studied at the Odessa Art School with K.K. Kostandi, then at the Moscow State Free Workshops with V.E. Tatlin (1918-1919). He was part of the “left” wing of Soviet art in the 1920s and 1930s. In 1921-1922 participated in the creation of the New Society of Painters (NOZH), was a member of the Society of Easel Painters (OST). Worked for the publishing house "Young Guard"; illustrated the magazines "Lalot", "War Crocodile" and "Atheist"; together with V.V. Mayakovsky he drew political posters and cartoons. A personal exhibition took place in 1961 in Moscow. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, as well as in many regional museums.
