Ageev Mikhail Sergeevich (1918-2007).

Soviet painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1947). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980). People's Artist of Russia (1999). Graduated from the Ivanovo Art School. Among his teachers were such great masters as M.S. Pyrin and A.M. Kuznetsov. The main theme of Mikhail Ageev’s work was the landscape of central Russia. His writing style is characterized by a colorful palette, built on contrasts of color and plastic materials. Participant of numerous zonal, republican and all-Union exhibitions. The works are stored in the State Russian Museum and in many regional museums.
