Akhmedov Rakhim Akhmedovich (born 1921, Tashkent).

People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR since 1961. He studied at the Tashkent Art School (1937-1941), then at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin (1947-1953) from Yu.M. Neprintseva, V.M. Oreshnikova, I.A. Silver. Participant of exhibitions since 1938. The artist’s works were exhibited at foreign exhibitions (India, Czechoslovakia, etc.) A personal exhibition of R. Akhmedov’s paintings took place in 1962 in Moscow. From 1965 to 1984 - Chairman of the Board of the Union of Artists of the Uzbek SSR. Since 1981 - People's Artist of the USSR.
