Armenian Soviet theater artist. He studied at the Vkhutein in Moscow (1927-31) with G.V. Fedorov and N.A. Shifrin. Participant of exhibitions since 1926. He began working in the theater in 1924 at the 1st State Theater in Yerevan (now T-p named after Sundukyan). He designed the performances: "Tartuffe" (1924), "Othello" (1926), "Profitable Place" (1929), "Yegor Bulychev and Others" (1933 and 1952). In the Theater of Opera and Ballet named after. Spendiarov (Yerevan) designed the ballet “Happiness” by Khachaturian (1939). Since 1927 he has been working in theaters in Moscow and other cities. Performances: “Rifle 492 11 b” by Kron (Goscentyuz, 1928), “Vose Uprising” (Lahuti Theatre, Stalinabad, 1934), etc. Author of a number of interior design projects for public buildings. The works were exhibited at the Paris World Exhibition (1937). A personal exhibition was held in Yerevan in 1962. The artist’s works are kept in the collections of the State Central Theater Museum, the Theater Museum (Yerevan), the Art Gallery of Armenia and also private collections.
