Shelikhov Valery Viktorovich. Born 1954 Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, laureate of the Moscow Council Prize in the field of fine arts, honorary professor of the British Royal Restoration College, studied and worked with the monumentalist G.N. Teblyashkin for 11 years, then studied and collaborated with the painter and monumentalist academician N.I. Andronov for 16 years. The master works and permanently resides in the USA. Artist Valery Shelikhov, unique in his talent and versatility of talent. Valery is a monumental artist. His monumental and decorative works - mosaics, paintings, reliefs, stained glass windows, parquet floors, etc. decorate many buildings around the world. He has a lot of experience and a good school behind him. Arts and crafts school, forestry technical school, three years of study in Stroganovka. A brilliant restorer and ceramist, he has mastered the craft of blacksmithing first-class - he makes hinges, locks, and keys for his furniture himself. Valery is an interesting painter; he has participated in exhibitions more than once. He is the only Russian master who has mastered the rarest technique of making frames, the so-called Flemish track, which is valued all over the world. These frames are so highly artistic that they are works of art in themselves. He created many unique works in collaboration with the wonderful artist, founder of the so-called “severe” style, Nikolai Ivanovich Andronov. One of their works, a seventy-meter wooden panel, decorates the building of the Soviet Embassy in Washington.
