People's Artist of the RSFSR (1975). He studied at VKHUTEMAS in Moscow (1922-1929) with S.V. Gerasimova. Member of the OST group (1927-1932), friend of A. Deineka and Yu. Pimenov. Author of genre paintings dedicated to Soviet youth. He taught at MIPIDI and MIT, professor of painting at the Moscow State Textile Institute. Works by F.V. Antonov's works were exhibited at exhibitions in Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Bulgaria, and Germany. The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1934, 1954, 1964. Works by F.V. Antonov are in the exhibitions of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and many provincial museums.
