Soviet artist, graphic artist. He studied at the Leningrad School for the Encouragement of Arts under Rylov, Vakhromeev, Bobyshev, Shchuko, Svarog. In 1933 he became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. In the 1960s he did a lot of linocut work. The themes of family and motherhood run through all of the artist’s work and represent his main motive. L.I. Aronov was closely acquainted and communicated with artists N.M. Romadin, V.N. Baksheev, V.A. Favorsky, I.I. Mashkov, A.V. Lentulov, R.R. Falcom, A.A. Osmerkin and others. Works by L.I. Aronov are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, and the engraving room of the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts. Pushkin and many other museums in Russia, as well as in private collections in Germany and France.
