Atoyan Rafik Geghamovich

Armenian artist. Painter. Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Studied at the Leninakan Art School named after. S. Merkurov (1944–1946), at the Yerevan Art School named after. Terlemezyan (1948–1953), at the Faculty of Painting of the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute under O. Zardaryan and E. Isabekyan (1954–1959). Since 1960, member of the USSR Union of Artists, from 1960 to 1988. Participant in republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. In 1970, his personal exhibition was organized in Yugoslavia, in 1984 - in Vienna and Salzburg, in 1986 - a personal exhibition of watercolor works in Avignon, in 1987 - in Manila. In 1982 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR. Since 1991 he lived in the city of Fresno (USA).
