Avvakumov Yuri Igorevich (1957, Tiraspol, Moldova).

Architect, artist, curator. One of the most prominent representatives of “paper architecture”. Graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute in 1981. Participates in exhibitions since 1982. In 1993 he created the UTOPIA Foundation (Moscow). Participant of the Venice Architectural Biennale (1996, 2003), Istanbul Biennale (1992), Documents in Kassel (1995) and many other exhibitions and festivals. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the State Museum of Architecture. A.V. Shchusev, Moscow House of Photography and many others.
