In 1966 she graduated from the Smolensk State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Art and Graphics. Since 1980, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1991 - Union of Artists of Russia). In 1981 she was awarded the Diploma of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. Participant of many regional, group, All-Russian and international exhibitions. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Smolensk (1992, 1997, 1999) and Vitebsk (1993). Works by Azarenko L.I. are in the collections of museums in Smolensk, Minsk, Vitebsk, Dusseldorf, ministries of culture of Russia, Cyprus, as well as in private collections in Russia, Belarus, Germany, Cyprus, Italy, and the USA.
