Bagdaridis Mikhail Georgievich

Born on May 14, 1961 in Georgia. In 1985, he graduated with honors from a vocational technical school in Moscow with a degree in design artist. I became interested in avant-garde art and tried myself in different directions. From 1987 to 1991 he took part in exhibitions, including in the Central House of Artists, dedicated to the memory of Anatoly Zverev under the pseudonym “Mikhail the Greek”. In 1991, his personal exhibition took place in the Novogireevo hall. During this time he created a large number of works, mostly graphic, most of which he later destroyed. After another creative crisis, he distanced himself from social and artistic life for a long time, but did not give up painting. He usually paints in large series, often contrasting with each other: from abstract canvases to completely realistic portraits. One of the latest works is a portrait of the current President of Greece, Carlos Papoulias, which the artist presented to him personally. The works of Mikhail Baglaridis are in private and corporate collections in many countries (Russia, USA, Canada, Finland, Austria, Italy, Cyprus, Greece).
