BARANOVSKY (Baransky) Alexander Ivanovich. Graphic designer and architect. Studied at the Academy of Arts (1909 – 1918). Since 1917 he took an active part in exhibitions. Worked in Moscow. Among his works: linocuts “Portrait of the Architect V.A. Shchuko" (1943), "Towers of the Moscow Kremlin" (1948-51); etchings – series “In Zagorsk” (1952-54), “Novodevichy Convent in Moscow” (1952-55). As an architect, he completed a number of public building projects. The works are stored in the State Russian Museum, the State Historical Museum, the Museum of History and Reconstruction of Moscow, as well as in regional museums.
