Baykov Fedor Ilyich

Baikov Fedor Ilyich (1818-1890).

Painter, graphic artist. Battle painter. As a free student in the 1840s, he attended the Academy of Arts. As a student, he received a small silver medal in 1846 for his “battle painting.” He lived and painted his canvases either in St. Petersburg or Tiflis. In 1862 F.I. Baikov was awarded the title of battle painter. He painted landscapes and was also a lithographer of a very high class. In the 1860s he created an album of lithographs "Transcaucasian Scenes and Types", which had great success among the artistic community of the country at that time.
