Bekhteev Vladimir Georgievich (1878, Moscow - 1971, Moscow).

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1968). He received a military education. After retiring, he studied in the private studio of Y. Tsionglinsky. From 1902 to 1914 lived in Munich, became one of the founders of the “New Munich Association of Artists”. Traveled through France, Italy, Tunisia. Participant of the first exhibition of the “Jack of Diamonds” in Moscow, the Izdebsky Salons, the “Sturm” gallery in Berlin, co-exhibitor of the “Blue Horseman” masters. Chief artist of the First State Circus in Moscow. In the 1920s - 1930s. worked in the field of book graphics. He illustrated the books by V. Jan “The Phoenician Ship”, “Fires on the Mounds” (1928-1930), “Daphnis and Chloe” by Long (1933), “Maiden Maupin” by Gautier (1932-1933), “Notre Dame Cathedral” by Hugo (1937). Ink and watercolor drawings. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in the 1950s – 1960s. in Moscow, Leningrad, Kyiv. In 1966, Bekhteev took part in the exhibition "Blue Rider" in Leningrad and Munich. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in museums in Berlin, Hamburg, Stettin, and Stockholm.
