Белашов А.М.

Belashov Alexander Mikhailovich (1933, Leningrad - 2011, Moscow).

Born in 1933 in Leningrad. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978), corresponding member of the AX (1995), laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1993). In 1953-1960 studied at the Moscow Higher School of Pedagogical University with E.F. Belashova, I.A. Rabinovich, G.A. Schultz. Participant of exhibitions since 1956. Personal exhibition was held in Moscow (1965). In 1986 he was awarded a diploma of the USSR Academy of Arts for the composition in ceramics “Marten” and “Geyrans”. In 1987, Belashov was awarded the silver medal of the USSR Academy of Arts, and in 1993 - the State Prize of the Russian Federation for the artistic design of the interiors of the Paleontological Museum. Yu. A. Orlova of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2005 he was awarded the Moscow Government Prize for the monument to the victims of the terrorist attack on Dubrovka. The sculptor’s works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
