Belukha Evgeny Dmitrievich

Belukha Evgeny Dmitrievich (1889, Simferopol - 1943, Leningrad).

Studied in St. Petersburg-V.V. at Mate (1911), at the Academy of Arts (1912-13) and at V.I. Shukhaev (1918). An outstanding graphic artist, a master of portraiture and calligraphy, he painted porcelain items. In 1920-30 worked mainly for central Soviet publishing houses. During the war years he made a series of posters. The artist’s works are stored in the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, State Museum of Art and others.
