He studied at the Academy of Arts since 1886. During his studies he received two large and one small silver medals. Participated in numerous exhibitions in the 1890-1910s. He took part in the painting of the cathedral in Warsaw in 1910. He received the title of academician of painting in 1913. He taught at the Academy of Arts (from 1913 - professor) Later at Vkhutein until 1928.
