Artist. Son and student of Albert Nikolaevich Benois. In 1901-1903 he studied at the architectural department of the Academy of Arts. He exhibited his works at exhibitions of the Society of Russian Watercolorists since 1903. Then he continued his art education in Munich and Paris. He took part in the design of the Russian pavilion at the World Exhibition in Turin in 1911 and was awarded a prize for “View of the Crimean Coast”. Shortly before the outbreak of the First World War, he visited China. During the war, he painted a number of watercolors on military subjects for the imperial family. Since 1918 he settled in Paris. Around 1924 he moved to China, where he died of tuberculosis. The artist's personal exhibitions were held in 1911 in Stockholm, 1928 in Paris and San Francisco.
