Бенуа Н.А.

Benois Nikolai Alexandrovich (1901, St. Petersburg -1988, Rome).

Born and educated in Russia, son and student of A.N. Benois. After 1924, he worked in theaters in Paris, London, and Berlin, and from 1936 to 1971 he was the director of the production department of the La Scala Theater, where he designed 275 performances and ballets. For his services to the field of theatrical art, in 1975 he was awarded the first international Golden Babbien award.
