Bernadsky Valentin Danilovich (1917, Chernigov region, Ukraine - 2011).

People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR, People's Artist of Russia, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Master of thematic painting, portrait, landscape, still life. One of the founders of the "Crimean School" of painting. He studied with the professor of the Academy of Arts A.P. Eisner, Leningrad Art School. In 1940 he entered the Academy of Arts. For brilliant success, after the 1st year he was awarded a Stalin scholarship. WWII participant. In 1950, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1951, participant of city, regional, all-Union and international exhibitions (Great Britain, Japan, Greece, USA, France, Hungary). Personal exhibitions in Paris (Druot exhibition hall), London, Kyiv, Sevastopol, Simferopol. In 1976 he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. Laureate of the State Prize of the ARC. In 2010 he was awarded the gold medal "For his contribution to world culture" by the International Foundation for Cultural Heritage (Russia). In 2011, he was awarded the Badge of Distinction “For Fidelity to Duty.” Works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, USA, France, Holland, Great Britain and Japan.
