Painter, graphic artist, teacher, poster artist. Member of the Academy of Artists of Russia since 1928. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1932. In the 1930s According to O. Bernhard's designs, the building for the Ural Geological Museum was rebuilt, and the Sverdlovsk "Passage" was decorated. He also took part in the creation of the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Fund, collaborated with the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Local Lore, and designed performances in the drama and puppet theaters. He taught at the Ural Art and Industrial School. One of the founders of the tradition of art education in the second half of the twentieth century in the Urals. He trained many famous Ural painters and artist-teachers of the middle of the last century. The artist's favorite genre is landscape. Works are presented in the collections of art museums in Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Nizhny Tagil, as well as in museums and private collections in England, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Canada, Austria, Germany, and the USA.
