Russian Soviet painter, monumentalist, member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists. Born on November 5, 1929 in the village of Bogdanovka, Utevsky district, Samara region. After the war, he graduated from art school, then three courses at art school in Dushanbe. In 1950 he entered the department of monumental painting of the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School. He studied with G. Savinov, I. Stepashkin, Ioganson, A. Sokolov. In 1957, he graduated from Leningrad Higher Art Pedagogical University, presenting his diploma work - a sketch of the “Youth Festival” mural for the concert hall of the House of Food Industry Culture in Leningrad. After graduation, he worked in the field of monumental and decorative painting, participated in the painting of the Palace of Culture of Tom-Usinsk, the Palace of Metallurgists in Cherepovets, the House of Culture in Petropavlovsk North-Kazakhstan. At the same time he worked in easel painting, which he later preferred. He painted portraits, landscapes, mostly urban, and genre paintings. He has participated in exhibitions since the late 1950s, exhibiting his works along with works by leading masters of fine art in Leningrad. Besperstov traveled a lot around the country, visiting Khakassia, Eastern Siberia, Central Asia, Transcaucasia, Crimea, and visited Spain, Algeria, and Italy. In the 1990s, he lived and worked in France for a long time. He died on December 24, 1998 in St. Petersburg at the seventieth year of his life. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy and other countries.
