Блохин И.С.

Blokhin Ivan Semenovich (1887, Moscow province -1954, Moscow).

Studied in Moscow in the studio of A.P. Bolshakova, then at the school of F.I. Rerberg and the studio of V.N. Meshkov, at VKHUTEMAS (until 1922). Participant in exhibitions since 1925. In the 1920s. was interested in cubism. Together with P.I. Petrovichev, L.V. Turzhansky, M.V. Leblanc was one of the organizers of the artistic group “Association” (OBIS). Works by I.S. Blokhin's works were exhibited at almost all exhibitions of the Moscow Union of Artists, including in Kislovodsk, Yalta, Evpatoria (in 1937-1938). The artist’s personal exhibition took place in 1959 in Moscow. The artist’s works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery and many regional museums
