Painter. Born in Odessa. He studied at the Academy of Arts (since 1869). During his studies he received medals: in 1871 - four silver ones, in 1873 - a small gold one. In 1875 he received the title of artist of the 1st degree. Participated in exhibitions: Academy of Arts (since 1881), TPHV (since 1880), TYURH (since 1900), MOLKh, etc. He worked mainly in Ukraine. In 1908 he received the title of academician. The artist’s personal exhibition took place in 1913 in St. Petersburg. Bodarevsky's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Saratov State Art Museum, the Kiev State Museum of Ukrainian Art, and the Far Eastern Art Museum.
