Bogatyrev Vasily Semyonovich (1871, Maksimovka village, Tver province - 1941, Leningrad).

Russian artist, sculptor, wanderer. Born in Maksimovka, Tver province. Student of the Academy of Arts (1893 - 1899). On November 2, 1899, he received the title of artist for the statue “Fairy Tale”. Member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions since 1916. He was awarded the Orders of the Russian Empire: St. Stanislav and St. Anna, 3rd degree.
