Bogdesko Ilya Trofimovich

People's Artist of the USSR, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts, laureate of the State Prize of the Moldavian SSR. In 1951 graduated from INGSA named after. I. E. Repin, studied with K. I. Rudakov, S. V. Priselkov, G. D. Epifanov. He worked mainly in the field of book graphics, illustrated and designed Russian, Moldavian and foreign literature. Author of a number of easel graphic series, as well as paintings and monumental paintings. He worked in the techniques of pen drawing, watercolor, linocut, copper engraving, etc. For a series of linocuts and illustrations for the fairy tale “Purse with Money” by I. Creanga, he was awarded the State Prize of the Moldavian SSR, in 1970. awarded the gold medal of the USSR Academy of Arts. Awarded the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, and medals of the USSR.
