Bogolyubov Alexey Petrovich (1824, Novgorod province - 1896, Paris).

Academician. Professor. Grandson A.N. Radishcheva. In 1850-1853 studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under M.N. Vorobyov and B.P. Villevalde. Pensioner of the Academy of Arts (1854-60), worked in the workshops of A. Calam in Geneva, E. Isabey in Paris and A. Achenbach in Düsseldorf. From 1873 he lived mainly in France. At the beginning of his creative career he was influenced by I.K. Aivazovsky. Member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (since 1873). Founder of the Art Museum. A.N. Radishchev (opened in 1885) and the Drawing School (opened in 1897) in Saratov. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and many other museum collections in Russia.
