Bogolyubov Boris Melitonovich (1878 – after 1940)

Painter, graphic artist. In 1901-1908 he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under N.A. Kasatkin, A.E. Arkhipov, V.A. Serov and K.A. Korovin, V.M. Vasnetsov. He worked mainly as a landscape painter. The author’s works were often reproduced on postcards issued by the Kyiv publishing house “Rassvet”, then by the SFA (Soviet Philatelic Association). In the 1920s he painted propaganda trains and created posters. Since 1906 – participant in exhibitions. Member and exhibitor of the following associations: Moscow Society of Art Lovers (1906, 1908, 1910, 1911), "Independent" (1907-1909), "Free Creativity" (1911, 1912, 1915; founding member), "Link" (1917), Moscow Art Circle (1918), Art Circle "Sreda" (1918) in Moscow; Northern Circle of Fine Arts Lovers in Vologda (1918). The author's works are in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and other museum and private collections in Russia and abroad.
