Soviet director and cartoon artist. He studied at the Azerbaijan Art School, which he graduated in 1938. After studying, he worked as a graphic designer. Participated in the Great Patriotic War. After the war, he entered VGIK, the art department, where he studied from 1948 to 1954. He began working at Soyuzmultfilm in 1954. First he worked as a production designer, and since 1966 as a director.
