Borodin Alexey Ivanovich (1915 – 2004).

Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Graduated from the Saratov Art and Industrial College (1936). Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1939. Painter, author of political posters. A brilliant representative of the Volga art school. He worked in such genres as historical painting, battle painting, genre painting, portrait, landscape. His works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts and in a number of regional museums; his exhibitions were held in Finland, the Czech Republic, Moscow, Volgograd, Saratov and other cities of Russia. A collection of the artist’s posters is in the collections of the Russian State Library (RSL, Moscow).
