Bortnov Petr Stepanovich (born in Nizhnyaya Salda in 1918 – died in Nizhny Tagil in 2013)

Soviet and Russian painter, a prominent representative of Socialist Realism and the Ural School of Painting. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1973). Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Known for his works on historical, revolutionary, and industrial themes. From 1947 to 1950, he studied at the Ural School of Applied Arts under Oleg Bernhard. Since 1949, he has participated in exhibitions. Since 1957, he has worked in the Nizhny Tagil Art and Production Workshops of the RSFSR. His works are represented in the State Russian Museum, the Central Armed Forces Museum, and other museum and private collections.
