Born October 7, 1922 in Tambov province. When Victor was 8 years old, his parents, fleeing collectivization, left for Staraya Kupavna near Moscow. While still at school (he graduated from the 10th year with an excellent student certificate), he studied with local artists and painted a lot in circles and clubs. In 1938 he took part in the All-Union Children's Drawing Competition and received 1st prize for the best watercolor drawing. Together with Borzov, future founders of the “severe style” received prizes: Ivanov, Korzhev, and the Tkachev brothers. Almost all the winners entered the Moscow Secondary Art School; but Victor didn’t, his parents dissuaded him. I didn’t go to college - boys weren’t accepted into universities in 1940, so I went to work at a defense plant. In 1941, the plant was evacuated to Ufa. Victor Borzov worked at the plant as a technician measuring the temperature of electric furnaces (pyrometrist). Soon he became a graphic designer at the factory's House of Culture. In 1946 he returned to Staraya Kupavna. First he worked as a designer at the Red Star club, and then at the House of Culture. Zueva as an artist and type designer. For 7 years he studied in the studio of Georgy Guk-Kravchenko, a student of Ilya Repin. During his studies, many Borzov exhibitions took place in various clubs and houses of culture (landscape sketches from life, compositions). Then Borzov met such recognized masters of Soviet art as Konstantin Yuon, Alexander Bubnov, Pyotr Konchalovsky and Alexander Gerasimov. In 1962 he graduated from the Moscow Pedagogical Institute with a degree in drawing, painting, and drawing teacher. Since 1955, he has participated in professional exhibitions of the Moscow Union of Artists. Including the exhibition “Historical Moscow”, 1972; exhibition of Moscow artists from the Industry association, 1982, 1983, 1985; exhibition “Communist Subbotnik”, 1984; exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Victory, 1985; “Spring Exhibition of the Moscow Union of Artists”, 1986; exhibition at the Izmailovo gallery, 1990; anniversary exhibition dedicated to Pushkin’s birthday, 1999 (Small Manege) and others. He was a member of the “Industry” department of the Ministry of Agriculture (headed by Pyotr Anurin). On Bubnov’s recommendation, he studied painting at a creative academic dacha (the former academic dacha of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts near Vyshny Volochok, where at that time the head of the stream was the artist Vladimir Gavrilov). For many years in the summer he painted sketches in the Pushkin Mountains. In 1990 he joined the Moscow Union of Artists.
