Honored Artist of Russia. The works of P. Boyko are distinguished by their high artistic culture, soft color and romantic view of the world around them. They are filled with high spiritual meaning and, whether it is a genre painting, a portrait or a landscape, are deeply patriotic in their content. This is especially evident in works on military-historical and naval themes. The Studio of Military Artists named after M. B. Grekov, which he headed in the difficult 90s, played a decisive role in the work of Pavel Boyko. The skillful leadership of the famous team made it possible to preserve the Studio as a single creative organism in the system of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and ensure the creation by masters of brush and sculpture of new highly artistic works of painting, graphics and sculpture, which was a significant contribution to the further development of Russian realistic art.” The artist P. Boyko travels a lot around the world. His trips to the USA, Cuba, Thailand, South Africa, the Middle East, and many European countries opened up the opportunity for him to write from life, conveying the beauty of the Tyrolean Alps, exotic deserts, protected areas of nature: “Genoa Fortress”, “Church of St. Mary”. He created portraits of navy and army officers: “Captain 1st Rank V. N. Antonov”, “Honorary Citizen of the City of Kyakhta Colonel A. I. Pirushkin”. The battle genre painting “The Feat of the Varyag” is widely known. Artist, retired captain 1st rank Pavel Boyko was awarded many state and public orders and medals. Pavel Platonovich Boyko celebrated his 65th birthday in 2010. The gold medal “N.I. Sats” of the International Academy of Creativity was awarded to the painter on his birthday.
