Roger Broder

Roger Broder (1883, Paris - 1953, Paris)

French artist and illustrator. He became famous for his posters advertising tourist destinations in France: the beaches of the Côte d'Azur and ski resorts in the French Alps in the early 20th century. He created posters for the Paris Lyon Mediteranée Company (PLM) railway company. In 1935, he illustrated stories by Charles Dickens. In the 1940s, he illustrated the works of the German author Karl May.
