People's Artist of the USSR (1980). Corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1970). Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR named after. I.E. Repina. In 1981 she was awarded a silver medal of the USSR Academy of Arts. In 1935-1939 as a volunteer she studied in the workshop of her father I.I. Brodsky at the Leningrad Academy of Arts, from 1939 she studied in Moscow with N.P. Krymova. The author of landscape paintings dedicated to the nature of the Urals, Siberia, the Far East, Ukraine, and lyrical landscapes. Participant in exhibitions since 1944. Works by L.I. Brodskaya's works were exhibited at exhibitions in France (1948), Finland (1950), Poland (1951), India (1951), China (1954), Syria (1955). Personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1948, 1949, 1955. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in museums in Kyiv, Lvov, Chelyabinsk, Astrakhan and other cities in Russia and neighboring countries.
