Brovar Yakov Ivanovich

Brovar Yakov Ivanovich (1864 – 1941).

Yakov Ivanovich Brovar, as a free student of the Academy of Arts, was lucky enough to master the art of painting landscapes from the most remarkable Russian artists and major teachers M.K. Klodt, A.I. Kuindzhi, I.I. Shishkina. Success in training was obvious: over the years spent at the Academy, Y. Brovar regularly received small and large silver medals. In 1896, for the landscape “March in the Forest” he received the title of artist. By this time, the academician’s works were demonstrated at various exhibitions and were known to lovers of landscape painting. The artist's paintings were eagerly bought, among them landscapes painted during the artist's numerous trips around the country. In 1908 and 1912, personal exhibitions of the painter were held in St. Petersburg. Brovar's paintings are kept in many museums in Russia and abroad.
