Academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts. A native of Italian Switzerland, he settled in Russia during the time of Catherine II - from 1807 to 1825. He studied at the Rome Academy of Arts, a member of the Milan Academy of Arts. He was engaged in decorative painting in the palaces of Tsarskoe Selo and Pavlovsk. Presented at the State Russian Museum.
