Abstract artist. He studied at the School of Fine Arts, worked at the Experimental Graphic Workshop, in 1963 he created the first abstraction, and in 1969 - a book of engravings Ex Adverso. In 1971 he moved to Paris, where Alex Lieberman, art director of Vogue, became his patron. In 1973 he moved to New York, lived and worked in the studio of Mark Rothko, and exhibited at the Emmerich Gallery. Works in the Guggenheim Museum, MOMA, Center Pompidou. In 2009, a retrospective of Brui was held at the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, and in 2011 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
