Bubnova Varvara Dmitrievna (1886, St. Petersburg - 1983).

Russian artist, teacher and art critic. She studied at the Drawing School of the College of Arts in St. Petersburg, then at the Academy of Arts (since 1907) with N.N. Dubovsky. Participated in exhibitions since 1914. In 1922 - 1958. lived in Japan. She illustrated books by Russian writers for Japanese publishing houses. The works are in the Pushkin Museum, in the Museum of Arts of the Georgian SSR.
