Buchgolts Fedor Fedorovich

Buchholz Fedor Fedorovich (1857, Voclaw, Warsaw province - 1942).

He studied at the Woclaw Real Gymnasium in the Warsaw province. In 1878 he entered the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, studied with P.P. Chistyakov and V.I. Jacobi. In 1880, for the sketch of the painting “John III Overthrows the Khan's Yoke” and in 1882, for the drawing and pictorial sketch from life, he was awarded three small silver medals. In 1884, he was awarded two large silver medals for his drawing and sketch; in 1885, he presented the programmatic painting “Daedalus and Icarus” to the Council of the Imperial Academy of Arts, for which he received a small gold medal and the title of class artist of the 2nd degree. Since 1888, he took part in exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, the Society of Russian Watercolor Painters, and the St. Petersburg Society of Artists.
