Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1980), Honored Artist of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1982), laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. G. Shevchenko for the diorama "Battle of the Dnieper" (1979), one of the leading masters of the Studio of Military Artists named after. B. M. Grekova. Awarded a gold medal named after. M.B. Grekov for his participation in the reconstruction of Franz Roubaud’s panorama “The Battle of Borodino” (1968). Winner of the Vit Nejedly Prize of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for the cycle of paintings “Slovak National Uprising” (1972). He was also awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1975) and the Red Star (1986), the Honorary Medal of the Soviet Peace Foundation for his participation in the creation of the panorama “The Battle of Stalingrad” (1982), and he was awarded a diploma from the USSR Academy of Arts for the cycle of paintings “Heroic Marines.” Honorary citizen of the hero city of Kerch.
