Russian and English graphic artist and theater artist, member of the World of Art society. He studied at the Real School of K. M. May (1894-1898), then at the TSUTR, the Drawing School of the OPH and the school of Prince. M.K. Tenisheva with I.E. Repin. He worked on book and magazine graphics and bookplates. He drew for the satirical magazines “Jester” and “Hell Mail”. He performed illustrations for the books “Eugene Onegin” by A. S. Pushkin and “Pictures on Russian History”, a series of postcards “War of 1914-1916”. He worked for the theater: he designed the 15th-century farces “Tan” and “Rogach” for the Ancient Theater (1907), the play “The Fall of the House of Usher” after E. Poe for the Lukomorye Theater (1908-1909). Participated in the exhibitions SRH (1906-1910) and “World of Art” (1911, 1912 and 1916). After 1917 he left for England.
