Cheremnykh Mikhail Mikhailovich (1890, Tomsk - 1962, Moscow).

Soviet schedule. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1952), full member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1958). Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1942). In 1911-1917 studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture with K.A. Korovin and S.V. Malyutina. Creator of "Windows of GROWTH"; one of the creators of TASS Windows. He collaborated in newspapers and magazines "Crocodile" (since 1922), "Atheist at the Machine", "Smekhach" and others. He created illustrations (drawings for the works of M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin), designed theatrical productions ("Pompadours" by A.F. Pashchenko at the Leningrad Maly Opera Theater, 1939, etc.). Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals. In 1949-1962. taught at the Moscow Art Institute. V. I. Surikova. In 1950 he was awarded the title of professor.
