Chernyshev Boris Petrovich

From 1927 to 1930 he studied at the department of monumental art at Vkhutein. His teachers were L. Bruni, K. Istomin, P. Kuznetsov, N. Chernyshev, A. Kuprin, N. Udaltsova, V. Favorsky. He completed his education at the Leningrad Institute of Proletarian Art (Academy of Arts), teachers K. S. Petrov-Vodkin, D. I. Kiplik. In the 1930s worked as a graphic designer for the Lyubertsy Agricultural Engineering Plant, participated in a design competition for the Palace of the Soviets, and was among the artists who painted the Central Theater of the Red Army. From 1935 to 1941 he worked in the Monumental Painting Workshop at the USSR Academy of Architecture. From 1941 to 1945 he was in units of the Red Army. In the late 1940s - early 1950s. worked in the Architectural Studios of V. Golfreich on the project of a high-rise building on Smolenskaya Square. In the 1950s Chernyshev, under the direction of P. Korin, performed monumental compositions for the design of the Komsomolskaya metro station - ring, together with other artists. More than 1000 works of the master are stored in museums of our country - the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and the Pushkin Museum.
