Chesnokova Alexandra Semenovna

Artist, painter, Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Before moving to Leningrad in 1930, she studied at VKHUTEMAS. She has participated in exhibitions since 1935, exhibiting her works along with works by leading masters of fine art in Leningrad. She worked primarily in the genre of thematic paintings and portraits. In the pre-war years she taught at the Leningrad Art and Pedagogical School, at the Secondary Art School, at LIZHSA. The artist’s works are kept in numerous museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
