Soviet artist, painter, graphic artist, teacher. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1936). Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR (1970). Chairman of the Board of the Yaroslavl Union of Artists (1956 – 1958). In 1934 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Art and Technical Institute, where he studied with S.V. Gerasimova, A.A. Deineki, V.A. Favorsky. After graduating from the institute, he was sent to the Yaroslavl Art and Pedagogical School as a teacher, where he worked until 1994. The author's works are presented in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Architecture. Shchusev (Moscow), in museum collections in Kineshma and Yaroslavl, in many Russian regional museums, as well as in private collections.
