Degai Alexander Nikolaevich (1890, St. Petersburg - 1962, Buenos Aires).

Graphic designer, decorator. He graduated from the Alexander Military School and was promoted to officer (1910). He worked as an illustrator and specialist in military costumes. He created large series of drawings of military personnel in the uniforms of various Italian army units (Carabinieri Corps, Bersaglieri Corps, Guardia Fiscal, etc.), executed a number of paintings for military historical museums, and painted for the Italian military magazine “Esercito e Nazione” (“Army and People”). He collaborated with the Royal Theater of Rome, creating costumes for the Italian film comedy “Bertoldo, Bertoldino e Cacasenno” (1937). In the mid-1950s he designed productions for the Argentino Theater in La Plata.
