Wife of D.N. Kardovsky. One of the best artists of the Silver Age. Studied at the studio of E.E. Schrader in Kharkov (1891-1999) and at the Academy of Arts with V.E. Savinsky and I.E. Repin (1895-1899). She ran her own studio school in Tsarskoe Selo. One of the founders of the New Society of Artists. She participated in exhibitions of the association, exhibitions of the Moscow Association of Artists and the Union of Russian Artists, and in the World Exhibition in Rome (1911). In 1917, she was among the first four women artists nominated for the title of academician, but due to revolutionary events this nomination did not receive any further development. In 1918–1924 she lived in Pereslavl-Zalessky, where she taught in her own studio and work school. In 1922 she was awarded the title of professor at the Academy of Arts. In 1924–1925, the artist’s paintings were exhibited at an exhibition of Russian art in New York. Participated in exhibitions of the Zhar-Tsvet association (1925-1928). She worked a lot in the field of book illustration. The work of Della-Vos-Kardovskaya is presented in many museum and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum. A. S. Pushkin.
