Dementiev Rem Mikhailovich 1929-1966

Graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist. He studied at the Art Institute of the Estonian SSR (graduated in 1956). Designed and illustrated books for an Estonian book publishing house. He collaborated with the IZOGIZ publishing house, mainly working on social posters on the theme of childhood and pioneering, such as: “Thank you for the extended day school!” (1960), "Happy New Year, guys!" (1960), “The pioneer speaks the truth, he values the honor of his squad” (1960). He made political propaganda posters: “The red flag will burn forever” (1959), “Everyone to the elections! For the flourishing of collective farm life!” (1961), "Glory to Soviet tank crews!" (1961), "May Day - accept it!" (1962), "XIV Congress of the Komsomol - Congress of Young Builders of Communism" (1962), "We vote for communism!" (1963). The artist's works are in many museum collections in Russia.
